Golden Rule for this week:
Congratulations to all our Gold Medal Winners
The school will be closed on Thursday 25th Oct for Teacher Inservice
and on Friday 26th Oct for the Presidential Election.
All the children are invited to wear Hallow'een costumes into school on Wednesday 24th October but no accessories ....ie no swords,wands guns etc
2nd Class News
Swimming (16th Oct) continues this week for Room 2,4 and half of Room 3.
Please remember to bring your swimming gear, wear your school tracksuit and
bring €5 which goes towards the cost of the bus and the swim.
All 2nd class children have Tennis on Wednesday (17th Oct) They need to wear their school tracksuits and rnners .
1st Communions:The dates for the Communion have been decided. Sunday the 12th and 19th of May.
The classes and the times will be decided this week.
We are still waiting on some Baptismal Certs to be brought in to school.
We will copy the original cert and give you back the original.
Please come along on a Tuesday morning to the hall from 9-10.
All levels are welcome!
We need to keep the numbers up to keep the class going!
The cost of the book money is €60.
Many thanks to those of you have paid your book money.
We would ask that those of you haven’t paid yet and who haven’t been in touch to please contact the school as soon as possible, either through the class teacher, Orla or you can make an appointment to see Ms. O’Reilly.

Thanks for your continues support to us by placing parish notices in the school newsletter, so here’s the newest ones:
HARVEST FESTIVAL IS COMING TO OUR PARISH!
On the 5th, 6th & 7th of October!
On Friday, 5th - THANKSGIVING PRAYER SERVICE at 7.30 pm in the parish church followed by local groups stalls & refreshments.
On Saturday, 6th - Blessing of pets at the statues at 12 pm
& at 3 pm Local Talents Concert in St. Thomas SNS followed by the
International Food feast in St. Thomas JNS.
On Sunday, 7th - Eucharist at 11.30 am & refreshments afterwards.
IMPORTANT: please contribute some photos from your albums
for presenting our parish history! Please bring it to the Parish Pastoral Centre during the week. Photos will be given back safely!
